Due to rapid economic growth and increased agricultural productivity over the past two decades, the number of malnourished people has almost halved. Many developing countries that were suffering from famine are now able to meet the nutritional needs of the most vulnerable. Regions such as Central and East Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean have made tremendous progress in eradicating hunger.

Unfortunately, hunger and malnutrition remain a major obstacles to development in many countries. An estimated 821 million people were suffering from chronic malnutrition by 2017, often as a direct result of environmental degradation, drought and loss of biodiversity.

Putting this into context we are a company that is committed to agriculture and is incorporating new technologies to improve performance in the process of making panela. All of this considering the future demand by the increase of population.

Also, from a nutritional point of view we are offering an alternative to refined sugar, that has no nutritional  value and changing it by panela, a natural sweetener that has vitamins and minerals (vitamin C, B6, riboflavin, niacin, thiamine, calcium, magnesium, iron among others).
