In one of the recent publications of the magazine Dinero, panela is shown as one of the opportunities for entrepreneurship in Colombia. In this article called “Panela: una oportunidad para emprender” Fernando Heincke CEO of the company Heincke, had the opportunity to tell the origin and growth he has had as an entrepreneur during his ten years of experience.
Fernando and his wife built a company dedicated to the export of panela following specifics in quality and volume in order to manage the expectations of international markets.
In 2019 Heincke exported approximately 240 tons of panela, managing to benefit 1,000 farmer families. Heincke’s 3 year projection is to support 2,500 families.
